(3) vs. The Goober Balls (2) A great game for the rats was brought back to respectable terms with a one turn score by the goblins. Fri, 12 Oct 2018 10:11:12 +0000 Match: Verminous Earners (0) vs. Death's Stars (1) A well fought game saw the rats get greedy with their gutter runners early on followed up by some amazing late game performance by my the very same gutter runners despite several rats spending much of the game in the KO box. Sat, 21 Oct 2017 19:25:05 +0000 Match: Death's Stars (1) vs. Rett's Re-Rolls (2) An early lead by Deaths Stars saw a lot of humans enter the KO box as the re-rolls lived up to their name and failed on some of the fundamentals. After a quick check to nuffle and a sacrifice to the dice gods Rett's re-rolls were able to take the game back in sudden death overtime. Fri, 06 Oct 2017 20:26:31 +0000 Match: Roaring Rabbits (2) vs. Barons of Burgundy (1) The Roaring Rabbits were able to hold of the surging Barons of Burgundy through a grueling playoff game played in the sweltering heat. The Barons received the ball and pushed hard down the pitch in the first half, but the Rabbits found a way to spring the ball and Christa Speck was able to score as the final seconds of the first half ticked away. Using the momentum, the Roaring Rabbits came back from halftime for a second score. Christa Speck again led the touchdown drive. The Barons of Burgundy were not out of it yet, they pushed right back and scored on the Rabbits extremely quickly, setting up a tense final drive where the Rabbits failed to keep the ball out of reach and in the end they needed to surround the ball to keep the staunch Barons from getting the pig skin. Fri, 27 Jan 2017 21:36:47 +0000 Match: Mighty Mice (2) vs. The Passovers (1) A grueling match settled in OT by a score of 2-1, the Mighty Mice squeak by! Templeton Gutter-Mouse scored both touchdowns on his way to a Agility Upgrade to compliment his Strength Upgrade. Richard Shermouse racked up his 5th and league leading casualty of the season. The re-rolls were thin and the double skulls plentiful! The Passovers on their way to a league leading 11 team casualties, gave Scabbers a smashed ankle and sent Stuart Little to that little mouse hole in the sky... Tue, 24 Jan 2017 12:52:38 +0000 Match: Roaring Rabbits (3) vs. Bad Moon Brawlas (0) The Bad Moon Brawlas had hoped they would smash the puny little Amazons aside and move to the next round of the playoff. Unfortunately, the puny little Amazons used their dodge to keep the gigantic green brutes at arms length. Utilizing skills like side step and dodge to maneuver and disrupt the orc lines. By the end of the games the orcs were frustrated and hadn't caught any piece of the Roaring Rabbits' tails. Sat, 21 Jan 2017 15:03:46 +0000 Match: Mighty Mice (3) vs. New Averland Patriarch (0) Birthday gift for the Mighty Mice coach with a 3-0 thrashing of the New Averland Patriarcs. 3 casualties in this one with a highlight of Shermouse knocking out the Mighty Zug with a broken jaw! Sat, 07 Jan 2017 14:51:52 +0000 Match: Mighty Mice (1) vs. Bad Moon Brawlas (1) Bad Moon Brawlers and the Mighty Mice pounded out a draw. Mercenary Star Player Varag Ghoul-Chewer knocked Shermouse out early and scored in epic fashion as the clock ran out in the first half with a blitz, two dodges, and 2 go for it rolls all without any team re-rolls available! The Mice were able to score quickly in the second half, but, that is where it ended. Ratty will miss the next game with a smashed hand and Templeton Mouse got the second double six upgrade to strength for the Mighty Mice... suspicion of performance enhancing substances are started to surface! Wed, 28 Dec 2016 16:47:54 +0000 Match: Riley Raiders (1) vs. Patriorcs (0) While this contest between the Patriorcs and Riley Raiders was cut short, the indomitable will of the two teams was in full effect. Winning the coin toss, the Riley Raiders met the Patriorcs on the snowy pitch. The heat surging between the two teams as they lined up could have melted through the thickest sheets of ice. The tension finally broke as the Patriorcs kick the ball high into the air, only to land a few short feet away from the Riley Raiders own thrower, #3 Shoop. Signaling his catcher, #5 Eilertsen, into position within the steadily forming cage fronted by blitzers #1, Rose, and #2, McGlone, Shoop threw an accurate pass that Eilertsen effortlessly caught. But the Patriorcs were paying attention. Orc linemen and blitzers charged face to face against the Raiders' line, ready to stop any advance the puny humans could hope to muster. Seizing the opportunity to start crushing skulls, the Patriorcs threw themselves at the Raiders. The human linemen were thrown around like a pile of rags as the Patriorcs asserted their dominance. Thinking he saw a weak point in the snarling wall of green rage, Eilertsen ran with the ball and blitzers to the opposite sideline. The Patriorcs would have none of this. Caring not for their human tricks, Patriorcs Black Orc Blocker #11, Gronk, lead the charge through the human line, knocking out lineman #8,Diaz, and #9, Copper. Throwers #3, Shoop, and #4, Garson ran to the cage to help stymie the green tide. Unable to move due to an incoming barrage of souvenir, balls, the Raider's cage was stuck at the line of scrimmage. Time was running out as the human line was wilting under the unrelenting savagery of the Patriorcs doubled up attacks. Thankfully, Raider's lineman #7, Melendez, snuck in a set of knuckleduster in his jockstrap. Squaring up to a Patriorcs lineman, Melendez knocked the orc on his back, and creating the hole the Raiders sorely needed. Stacking themselves on the edges of the new hole, the Raiders began their attempts to widen the pathway for #5 Eilertsen. Patriorcs front-man, Brady, led the attack against this new offensive with the characteristic fierceness Brady's fans have come to know. Yet in a shocking turn of events, Gronk was KO'd by a lightning quick blitz by Raiders blitzer #1, Rose. With a wide path open, Eilertsen ran deep into the Patriorcs side of the field. Just a sprint away from the end zone, Patriorcs #11, Gronk, gave chase after the human. The rest of the Patriorcs team stayed behind to try and break the human closest to them. If they couldn't take the ball, they'd fashioned new ones with the human's skulls. Thankfully for the humans, Eilertsen ran the ball into the end zone, scoring the only touchdown on the game. If not for an untimely mob of drunk halfings collapse onto the pitch after leaving Bugman's Bar, this game would have continued with the Patriorcs receiving the ball. Could the battered Railey Raiders stop the Patriorcs from marching up the pitch? Or would the unrelenting might of the Patriorcs shatter the Riley Raiders' defenses? Only time will tell if these two teams face each other again. Fri, 23 Dec 2016 19:42:22 +0000 Match: Mighty Mice (1) vs. Carroburg Cleavers (0) The Mighty Mice edged the Carroburg Cleavers 1-0 in a brutal match in front of a record 260k fans. Fri, 23 Dec 2016 06:47:39 +0000 Match: Mighty Mice (4) vs. Nordland Buccaneers (0) The Mighty Mice were too much to handle in their 4-0 beatdown of the Bucs. 4 Bucs players went to the knockout bench and refused to return to the game. In the second half the Bucs could not even pick up the ball in the open pitch! They were the first team to deny Richard Shermouse a casualty, however, Speedy Gonzales secured 2 TDs and the MVP while advancing to MV 10 for his first upgrade. "arriba arriba andale andale epa epa" Thu, 22 Dec 2016 22:07:17 +0000 Match: Roaring Rabbits (2) vs. Twinkle Evermoon (1) Instead of a regular game of Bloodbowl, the High Elves got a brutal 2-1 loss to Amazons. The loss stings even more because the Amazons came out of it completely unscathed, while the High Elves lost a thrower and have a blitzer missing the next game. The High Elves took an early lead against the Amazons, grinding down the pitch to score. The Amazons tried a sneaky Knuckle Duster in an attempt to score as the first half came to an end, unfortunately the Chalk Monster would have no "Go for its" as the half ended. The Amazons were frustrated and came out in the second half with a series of brutal blocks, knocking several Elves off the pitch and scoring a quick touchdown. Then they used their number advantage to force the ball out of bounds and were able to sneak in a second touchdown with only a few turns left. The Amazons held on to win on a couple lucky plays. A brutal grind of a game that saw its share of bloodshed. Thu, 22 Dec 2016 21:54:02 +0000 Match: Da Ball Boyz (1) vs. Roaring Rabbits (3) Da Ball Boys started the game with a solid cage and decent push down the field, but their early scoring hopes were dashed by the sheer amount of dodge and a sidestepping Amazon blitzer. Even though Da Ball Boys had called the League's attention to Allison Parks and she was playing it safe (she couldn't foul or assist all game), her sidestepping ways allowed her to punch out the ball on a single block. The Amazons also took advantage of the Orcs by flashing some bunny tails and then taking out the Orc Blitzers. Da Balls Boys were lucky to have one blitzer on the pitch for all their drives after the first, they were not helped when Lisa Baker (#67) punched an Orc Blitzer so hard in the spores that his heart stopped. Overall, it was a tough game for Da Ball Boys who struggled to knock over any of the Roaring Rabbits. The Rabbits capitalized on their dodging ability and found ways to turn the field and run in for several scores. Sat, 17 Dec 2016 09:50:29 +0000 Match: Mighty Mice (3) vs. Rick's Raiders (1) Richard Shermouse(Rat Lineman #7) makes it two games in a row with a casualty as the Mighty Mice edge Rick's Raiders 3-1. This one falls on the shoulders of the Ogre with an all time worst performance. 3 bonehead rolls and a double skull. Even the team re-roll could not save him (loner). Sat, 17 Dec 2016 08:07:57 +0000 Team news by The Goober Balls Groff Hardscale from the wildly popular Goober Balls has recently acquired additional protection. "Don't let his lack of clothes and loosly fitting loin cloth distract from the fact that Groff is a killer." Team couch Patrick said recently. "Groff's skin is almost as thick as his skull, I believe that new teams will have a great deal of difficulty getting through to him." Oh the heels of two recent losses The Goober Balls remained determined to cause as much mischief and mayhem as possible this year in the league. When asked about the possibility of creating a future championship team, and getting a few wins under their belts, team captain Jack Phlash responded with a resounding "huh?". Current team touchdown leader Fresh Meat was unavailable for comment. Mon, 12 Dec 2016 13:00:38 +0000 Match: Twinkle Evermoon (3) vs. The Goober Balls (1) The game opened with Tossing Saladsteak hurling a bomb at the opposing High Elves but in a twist of cruel fate, one of the elves caught the bomb and hurled it back at Saladsteak killing him stone dead! Using the momentum of this shocking, yet hilarious turn of events the Twinkle Evermoon team stole the ball and scored a touchdown on turn 3. Kicking off again to the Goobers, the Twinkle Evermoon turned it around again and scored another touchdown by the end of the half! With the Goobers kicking at the top of the second half the Twinkle Evermoons quickly set to work and scored a third touchdown. In the last drive of the game with both teams having lost players, the Goobers made a stunning play by having a Troll throw one of the goblins out of reach of the Evermoons and even more astoundingly, the thrown goblin landed without a scratch and went on to score on the final turn of the second half. Final score 3-1 Evermoon victory! A fun and bloody match for both sides! Fri, 09 Dec 2016 23:23:26 +0000 Match: Nordland Buccaneers (0) vs. Conniving Clanrats (1) Snikch Silentrunner scored the only touchdown in a close game. The lightning-fast attack of the Conniving Clanrats was mostly held in check by the stalwart Buccaneer line! Skul Ironspine, the hulking Rat Ogre of the Clanrats, made his presence known by smashing Buc linemen aside like rag dolls and opening up holes for his teammates to exploit! When the dust cleared, the Clanrats were able to grab a close victory and the Bucs were left to try and solve their offensive woes. Bradus Johannson had a solid game at quarterback and looks to bounce back in their next upcoming game! Fri, 09 Dec 2016 05:03:13 +0000
